High-end gaming system for VOD networks, providing next generation game console- like user experience through cable networks. Solution is based on a proprietary video processing system, which is able to run a high density, off-the-shelf next generation video games and streams the video as standard MPEG to ordinary set top boxes.

The Video game market has matured into a multi-billion dollar entertainment business, with rapid growth rates across the world. Until now, the high end, blockbuster games have been available through dedicated gaming hardware ("Consoles") or PCs. By adapting the Video Game medium to a digital video environment, a new medium is born. Through the infrastructure of cable and IPTV systems, Playcast offers subscribers access to next generation game titles, with out the need to buy any hardware or software.

Playcast's systems are a new class of VoD server, which seamlessly integrates with the existing video network. No changes are required in the set top box or network. Off-the-shelf content and games can be streamed as is.

First pilot with the Israeli cable operator was installed in Q108, a large scale system successfully launched in Israel in Q209. Revenues are expected in Q410.

Agreement find with large operator in Portugal for commercial launched by end 2010.

Playcast was founded with Xenia in 2007, matured incubator in 2008 and raised a follow-on financing round led by Rotal, a C.Mer subsidiary, with which a business development and marketing agreement was secured and from additional investors.

Guy De Beer, Co-founder, CEO 
Has been working for NASDAQ traded telecom technology companies in Israel and in the US since 1996, most recently with Harmonic, where he managed the company's VoD product line.

Dr. Natan Peterfreund, Co-founder, CTO 
World renowned video expert, with almost 20 years of research experience in machine vision and video processing in the academia and industry. Most recently, Dr. Peterfreund was the Chief Scientist, Video Technologies in DSP Group. Prior to that Dr. Peterfreund led Harmonic's future video technology research.

Alon Shtruzman, COO 
Experienced media executive with over 10 years of experience in on-demand and interactive TV. Prior to joining Playcast, Mr. Shtruzman was the General Manager of Fox International's vertical channels, and before that VP content for HOT, Israel's cable company.

Dr. Yaron Simler, Board Member 
Seasoned executive in the cable and video space. Previously the CEO of Scopus (NASDAQ), and president of the digital division with Harmonic inc.
