NexSig

Adaptive diagnostic system for early detection of neurological Disorders, primarily Alzheimer disease. The company's product, NexAde, is an advanced expert system that measures and analyzes biometric signals through self-administered computerized tests. NexAde can be administrated by elderly subjects lacking computer skills. NexAde allows self testing with no need for an administrator to perform the NexAde test battery and can provide dementia prediction information in addition to evaluation information.
The importance of early detection of cognitive impairment and Alzheimer's disease is tremendous. Approved medications for Alzheimer's disease are effective only when used in the early stages of the disease.

Target markets for NexSig product include memory and geriatric clinics, where 3 million tests are performed per year with spending on these tests amounting to $1bln annually in the US. Medicare has defined a CPT code for computerized neuropsychological tests. The reimbursement rate for such tests is up to $200 per test. Another target market is the Long Term Care Insurance market where Alzheimer's disease is the number one cause of claims consisting of more that 25% of all claims, and with more than one million new policies are sold every year and rapidly growing.

Product was tested on over 2000 patients. First sales to Israeli insurance company and medical centers in the US.
NexSig was founded with Xenia in 2004, matured incubator in 2007 and raised follow on funds from leading investors.
