Medi-tate's Innovative mechanical Benign Prostate Hyperplasia (BPH) device, enabling a bloodless, office procedure that actively reshapes the urethra under minimal sedation.

Medi-Tate offers a unique solution to patients and urologists, achieving surgery-like results using a minimally invasive office procedure and avoiding traumatic tissue cutting, heavy sedation and hospitalization. Patients enjoy immediate return to normal activities and reduced side effects.

In the U.S., 15 million men display BPH symptoms. Only 3 million of them are treated, 90% by drugs and 10% by surgery and MIT. The total BPH market, in the U.S, only, is over $3B. In ROW, over 500,000 procedures are performed annually. The initial WW procedures market comprises close to 1,000,000 procedures and over $1B revenues.

510K Class II rulling received from FDA. Registered patent and strong IP protection. Animal and cadaver studies were successfully completed. The First-In-Human trial will start in Q210 and will be followed by a European multi-center study lead by Dr. Porpiglia and Prof. Scarpa, (Italy).CE Mark, FDA submission and start sales in Europe expected in Q310.

Medi-tate was founded with Xenia in 2007.

Ido Kilemnik, CTO & Founder
Over 13 years of experience developing and manufacturing novel medical devices. Held VP and R&D positions at Ventor (acquired by Medtronic for $325M in 2009), Bypass and Disc-O-Tech (acquired by Kyphon for $240M in ‘07). Ido holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering, cum laude from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology.

Rami Biran, PhD., Founder, Clinical & Regulatory Affairs
Director of Regulatory and Clinical affairs and Director of Quality Assurance in the medical device industry for over 15 years. BioControl (partial $50M exit to AMS in ‘06); Influence ($60M exit to AMS in ‘99). Between 1989 and 1997 Dr. Biran held the positions of visiting research associate in Michigan State University, and instructor of molecular biology at Tel Aviv University.

Prof. Ofer Nativ, Medical Advisor
Prof. Nativ is Head of Bnei Zion Hospital Urology Department and a world-renowned leader in onco-urology. He also serves as an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine at the Technion in Haifa, Israel. Over the course of his career, Prof. Nativ authored or co-authored more than 150 scientific publications and has been the recipient of numerous grants including several grants for improvements & optimizations of the superficial bladder cancer treatment.
